High Temperature Tape: Heat & Flame Resistant & Radiant Heat Reflective
This high temperature tape is heat resistant. The aluminum coating reflects radiant heat and is the perfect protection for industrial wires, cables, hoses (hydraulics), pipes, tubing and equipment that is in close proximity to intense radiant sources such as super-hot metal slabs, liquid and molten metals or glass, open flame/plasma or engine exhaust manifolds.
Radiant heat reflective tape has an aluminum coating on a fiberglass base fabric.
With layers of highly polished aluminum calendared under high pressure onto a high temperature base fabric, then slit into a tape of any width, it reflects more than 95% of the radiant energy that hits its surface, keeping the underlying cables and hoses cool.
Available in sizes from 1/2" through 40" wide .

Materials that resist catching fire, burn slowly, or retard burning can be described as either "incombustible", "non-flammable", "non-combustible", "fire-resistant" or "fire-retardant". "Self-extinguishing" materials cease burning once the flame or heat source is removed. "Fireproof" is understood to mean that an object cannot burn, but few materials are truly fireproof.
