High Temperature, Heat & Flame Resistant Firesleeve - Aviation Grade (meets AS1072)
Cross-Reference Table
(Allows qualified hose assemblies to pass AS1055D testing)
Aviation - Aerospace grade firesleeve meeting as1072 and as1055
This aviation / aerospace grade high temperature, heat, flame and pyro resistant firesleeve jacket  is manufactured to AS1072 standards so it can pass the fire testing standards of AS1055D; and the requirements of FAA TSO - C53a and TSO - C75.

It may be used for all fuel, oil, hydraulic, fire extinguisher and prop feathering lines. "Fire-proof" hose lines, as defined by the FAA, must withstand a direct flame for fifteen minutes under specified flow conditions without failure. Fire-resistant lines must withstand a 5 minute exposure under these conditions.

Fire-proof hose lines are obtained when the proper size Firesleeve is selected and properly assembled with appropriate clamps.

Firesleeve
Firesleeve is available in sizes ranging from 0.25" Inside Diameter through 5" I.D. in 25 size steps.

Molten metals simply slide off of the extra heavy duty coating of High-Temperature Silicone Rubber on all of these products (firesleeve), providing excellent burn-through protection.
Firesleeve Pyro Resistant Jacket Withstands Molten Splash & Welding Splatter.  Withstands 500°F / 260°C continuous exposure; 2200°F / 1205°C for periods up to 15 minutes and short flash excursions to 3000°F / 1650°C.
Materials that resist catching fire, burn slowly, or retard burning can be described as either "incombustible", "non-flammable", "non-combustible", "fire-resistant" or "fire-retardant".  "Self-extinguishing" materials cease burning once the flame or heat source is removed.  "Fireproof" is understood to mean that an object cannot burn, but few materials are truly fireproof.

Most of our products fall within one or more of the above descriptions: they resist high temperature, flame, fire, molten metal splash and weld splatter very well but may melt with prolonged exposures past their designed maximum continuous operating temperature.  They can also provide OSHA, ANSI-FM & NFPA compliance and personnel protection.

Using our products to retain heat or cold within pipes, hoses, enclosures or equipment helps conserve energy and resources, and reduces operating costs.
